The practice sets aside time for urgent dental needs. Calling early gives us the best chance to find a same-day opening, but you should call whenever the problem occurs during office hours. We are open from 7 AM Monday through Saturday. We are not a 24-hour facility and are closed on Sunday, so if a problem starts overnight, call first thing in the morning. New patients are welcome for emergency care, and the practice offers a $99 Emergency Exam so you can get answers without worrying about the cost of the first visit.

Handle the tooth by the crown, not the root. If it is dirty, rinse it gently without scrubbing. Keep it moist in milk or a saline solution, or tucked between your cheek and gum if you can do so safely, and call us immediately. Time can affect whether the tooth can be saved.
For a Broken Tooth or Lost Restoration
Save any pieces you can find and avoid chewing on that side. Do not use household glue or attempt a permanent repair at home. If a sharp edge is irritating your tongue or cheek, cover it with dental wax or sugar-free gum until you can be seen. Call us so we can determine how quickly you should be seen.
For Tooth Pain or Swelling
Rinse gently with water and keep the area clean. Do not place aspirin directly against your gums or tooth. Swelling can be a sign of infection, so contact us even if the pain comes and goes.

Care may involve repairing a damaged tooth, replacing a restoration, relieving an infection, performing root canal therapy, or removing a tooth that cannot be saved. We will review your options and expected costs before treatment whenever the situation allows. If dental anxiety makes urgent care harder, tell us. Laughing gas or oral sedation may help, and we coordinate IV sedation or general anesthesia with dental anesthesiologists when deeper support is appropriate. The recommendation depends on your medical history, treatment, and transportation plan.
A Long-Term Plan
Once you are out of pain, we talk about what caused the problem and how to keep it from coming back. That may mean a final crown, a replacement for a lost tooth, or simply a return to regular checkups so small issues are caught early.
